Item Details 19th Century French Mantel Clock Case, Circa 1880 Ideal For Spares And Repairs A fine antique Victorian French mantel clock comprising of ormolu and bronze, dating to the 19th century, circa 1880. The clock, of Rococo form, features a heavily chiselled base decorated throughout and raised on scrolled feet. The base issues a bronze clock case housing a white enamel dial featuring individual enamel cartouches with blue hand painted Roman numerals within an ormolu beaded rim. The whole surmounted by a finial. This fine clock case is suitable for use with a single train mechanism and is ideal for spares and repairs. Approximate dimensions: 36 cm high x 18 cm wide Approximate weight: 3837 Grams Condition: Overall, the clock case is in very good condition. The ormolu retains a bright colour. Please note that a mechanism is not included with the clock and as such, this is ideal for spares and repairs.
