ABOUT THIS ITEM

Description

This stunning piece is an English made Victorian sweetmeat from the mid to late 1800s. In silver plated stand. The glass thought to be ade by Stevens and Williams, it is an absolutely beautiful intricate design with the fine ridges around the light blue fading to clear glass body and the vaseline glass ruffled frill details that GLOW strongly and beautifully under 395 UV an early and rare example of English Victorian Uranium Glass and beautiful in the snug fitting little holder. Size: she's about 5.5" wide, 2.5 tall, the base is just under 3 inches wide, the same dimensions as another one I have available. This one has amazing detail with the ruffled edging with the combed texture running all the way up to the rim. Unbelievably good condition except for whatever the depressions are near the centre on the base as pictured, maybe it was how it came from the factory I'm not sure. Other than that it is almost as though it was made yesterday, I've felt all round for any chips and can't find anything, it's a beautiful thing
