Red Fox Shoulder Caplet made in the 1930s, a large size in excellent vintage condition, it has been beautifully made by a skilled Furrier, the Fox Fur is very deep, plush and soft. A piece very much of its time it has panels at the front and the back taken from the short flat fur and has two leg furs with a press stud to fasten the capelet. These could be removed and replaced with a ribbon. The rich colours of thecapeletblend from red to light ginger and fluffy on the shoulders and then a very rich copper red at the back. The caplet is lined in rich brown satin. Style:The capelet is a luxurious piece and would look great as part of a 1930s or 40s costume, picture a 1940s film star the style is all about the shoulders Perfect to wear at a special occasion over a gown.
