Antique Victorian Beaded Dark Wood Letter Box Mother of Pearl Engraved Patterns

An Antique Victorian Correspondence Letter Wooden Box with Mother of Pearl. This Victorian correspondence letter box is made of rosewood, has a lid with beaded wood borders, two slots for either "Answered" and "Unanswered" letters, both words are etched on Mother of Pearl, the box is decorated on the lid and front side with incised motifs.The inside of the box is a split compartment lined with a dark green Regency style paper. The box is in good to fair condition:- The wood on the outside of the box is in good condition with some light markings, dents and scratches all consistent with age and use.There's a small beaded wood work missing on the top left side.- The inside lined paper is showing some wear and tear, dust deposit, scratches and marks.
