Antique Frosted Glass Polar Bear Iceberg Russian Perfume Scent Bottle C1920s
Description
This exquisite antique perfume bottle showcases beautiful frosted glass, sculpted into the distinctive form of a polar bear standing majestically on an iceberg. The design is notably inspired by Robert Peary's 1909 expedition to the North Pole.
The bottle was originally conceived by the celebrated artist Kazimir Malevich in 1911, with this specific example estimated to date from the late 1920s.
While the main label, for "Severny Eau De Cologne," is no longer present, a paper label identifying its origin from the USSR (established 1922) remains intact on the bottom. The bottle is still sealed, preserving the original perfume within.
It is noted that a cork insert, originally designed to secure the stopper, is now absent. Despite this, the bottle remains in very good, all-original condition.
